The "Careers In Construction" event, hosted by the South Central Wisconsin Building Trades Council, brought a dynamic day of exploration and discovery to the SMART Local 18 Training Center in Sun Prairie, WI, on Thursday, March 16th, 2023. From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, attendees from diverse backgrounds gathered to dive into the world of construction, facilitated by representatives from various building trades unions.

Located at 150 Communications Drive, the SMART Local 18 Training Center provided an impressive backdrop for this immersive experience. With its cutting-edge facilities and seasoned instructors, the center was the ideal setting to introduce attendees to the multitude of possibilities within the construction industry.

The heart of the event lay in its hands-on, interactive displays. Representatives from building trades unions conducted captivating demonstrations in masonry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, crane operation simulation, and more. These engaging displays allowed attendees to roll up their sleeves, experience the trades firsthand, and gain a deeper understanding of the skills and craftsmanship that drive the construction sector.
